It is crucial for all companies to independently train talented young professionals of tomorrow and to retain valuable expertise within the company at an early stage. This not only secures a company’s needs for skilled professionals but also promotes innovation and self-sustained growth. Training at ISGUS is more than just theory – it is about merging theoretical knowledge with practical application to create an exciting professional future. With experience and passion, our trainers accompany young people on their journey from students to the experts of tomorrow, aiming at growing together. Natalie Fischer from the Human Resources department emphasises how important harmonious cooperation within the trainee team is to her. She pursues the vision of developing further exciting trainee projects in a growing team. Her personal advice: “Stay curious and keep setting yourself new goals.” In Software development, Bruno Lampe, who joined ISGUS in 1982 and who has also been a member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s examination board for 25 years, particularly enjoys inspiring young people with enthusiasm for their work. A special highlight for him was the “Export Layout Generator”, a tool that several generations of apprentices have helped to develop, and he concludes: “Curiosity is the key”. Dietmar Wehrle from Technical Support experiences time and again how rewarding it is to pass on knowledge. He is particularly proud of the training platform with learning content tailored for IT specialists based on SharePoint that has been developed by particularly engaged apprentices. “Clear goals and genuine interest are crucial,” he emphasises. Marko Strugar from Hardware development has been mentoring young talent since taking on the role of trainer in 2015 due to a retirement arrangement within the department. Since then, the terminal test wall, which is still in use today, has become his personal passion project. “Fun and proactivity are essential,” he says. Nils Olbert has been working in Software development at ISGUS since 2012. In his role as a vocational trainer, he gives apprentices the opportunity to take on responsibility themselves. He has been particularly enthusiastic about the ISGUS game on the IT 8270 terminal, a project developed by trainees in recent years. His personal advice to young people: “Go for it: be bold and turn your ideas into action.” Furthermore, all trainers personally support our apprentices at training and further education fairs, inspiring young people to pursue an apprenticeship at ISGUS. They are not only educating the professionals of tomorrow, but are also shaping actively the future of the company. TRAINERS AT ISGUS SYSTEMATICALLY SHAPING THE FUTURE
